Positions for which we may in the future have openings include:
 

RECEPTIONIST
Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, setting up new clients and patients, preparation and maintenance of medical records, filling prescriptions, over the counter sales, mailings, computer operation, financial transactions, filing, and front office and reception area maintenance.  Receptionists will assume the responsibility for acquiring the medical and legal information necessary for the medical care of the patients (pets).
 

VETERINARY TECHNICIANS
Technicians have either completed a two year college course at an accredited veterinary technician school and have passed a national board exam. Technicians are responsible for hospital maintenance, assisting the doctors, laboratory procedures, radiology, client communication, medical procedures, pharmacy, operation and maintenance of instruments and equipment, inventory, daily treatment of hospitalized patients, assisting in the operating room and maintenance of the OSHA and Hazardous Materials programs.

 

VETERINARY ASSISTANTS
Assistants are not required to have formal training or a college degree. Their duties include assisting the doctor and/or veterinary technician, daily care of hospitalized patients, assisting in the exam rooms, and cleaning and maintenance of the facility and equipment.

 

KENNEL ASSISTANT
Kennel assistants are primarily involved with animal care. Duties include feeding, medicating, cleaning animal care facilities, and other duties as assigned.

 

GROOMER
Groomers must demonstrate the ability to work with a variety of pets and owners to produce grooming results that satisfy all concerned. A groomer must have good communication skills and stamina to excel in this physically demanding position. They must also demonstrate the ability to work independently and manage their own schedule in cooperation with hospital operations.
